The Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday seized three China-made and two countrymade pistols apart from ammunition near the India-Pakistan border in Punjab's Amritsar sector.
The seizure included three 7.63 mm Chinese pistols, three magazines, 28 rounds of ammunition and two 12 mm local-made pistols, a BSF spokesman said here.
The BSF earlier carried out a search near Border Out Post Daoke after specific information and came across the weapons and ammunition hidden in agricultural fields in the Indian territory close to the international boundary.
BSF officials said the weapons could belong to smugglers on both sides of the border.
