BSF seizes 30 kg cannabis on Bengal-Bangladesh border

The BSF on Friday seized 30 kg cannabis in West Bengal near the Bangladesh border.

While carrying out the anti-smuggling operations across the south Bengal frontier, the Border Security Force troopers seized 20 kg cannabis (ganja) in the area under the Banpur border outpost. Two kg of the contraband was seized from Horendipur border outpost area in Nadia district.

In another operation, the troopers confiscated eight kg cannabis from the Meghna border outpost area in Murshidabad district.

The BSF has so far seized over 300 kg cannabis on the south Bengal border with Bangladesh in the year.
