The Border Security Force (BSF) on Monday seized two Pakistani boats in Punjab's frontier district of Ferozepur, officials said.

The boats were spotted near the border outpost Donna Tel Mal by BSF troopers patrolling the riverine border belt along Sutlej river on the night of April 2-3.

The troopers challenged the people on the boats but they jumped into the river and swam towards Pakistani territory, the officials said. A search of the boats led to over 45 kg of fish.

Punjab shares a 553-km border with Pakistan.
