State-owned telecom operator BSNL on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with enterprise solutions provider SAP to jointly offer innovative GST (goods and services tax) solutions to enterprises across India.
The partnership is directed at realising the full potential of GST by increasing compliance on the back of BSNL's country-wide reach and SAP's expertise in providing robust technology offerings.
"Our mission is to ensure that every business in every town and village in the nation successfully adopts GST," Anupam Srivastava, Chairman and Managing Director, BSNL, said in a statement.
"Our partnership with SAP is to augment this commitment, and our collective objective is to simplify GST to create a conducive environment that will enable Digital growth," Srivastava added.
The collaboration leverages the capabilities of BSNL as GST Suvidha Provider (GSP) and SAP as Application Service Provider (ASP).
With BSNL's vast network, the partnership could provide enhanced accessibility to companies of all sizes, specifically small and medium enterprises (SMEs), to create, consolidate and file GST returns through SAP's ASP solution in an easy, secure and smooth manner.
