German football club FC Augsburg on Wednesday fired coach Dirk Schuster, due to the "differing ideas about the club's development and style of play".
"After a detailed analysis of the current situation, the directors at FC Augsburg have come to the view that differing ideas about the club's development and style of play prevail," said a club statement.
"For that reason, FC Augsburg has decided to release head-coach Dirk Schuster, as well as his assistant coaches Sascha Franz and Frank Steinmetz, from his duties with immediate effect," added the note, according to the Bundesliga official website.
The management of the club justified its decision by highlighting disagreements and differences in the playing style with the coach and his staff, reports Efe.
Schuster, 48, arrived in Augsburg, currently 13th in the Bundesliga standings, last summer from Darmstadt.
His dismissal comes after four consecutive matches without a win.
