Dubbing the burning down of schools in Jammu and Kashmir a "combination of madness and perversion", Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Monday called upon the people in the valley to isolate those responsible for the arson.
"This is nothing but a combination of madness and perversion; otherwise, how can anyone think of burning down educational institutions.
"The people of Jammu and Kashmir should realise that these people have crossed all limits and are acting at the behest of the enemy across the border, which is aiding, abetting, funding and training terrorists regularly," Naidu told the media here.
"This is the extreme action they have taken and I hope the people will realise and isolate them in society; children from the state should not be deprived of opportunity for peaceful studies.
"Some of the leaders' children are studying outside, I am told. Some have taken security to write exams. Some of the so-called leaders, whether separatists or sympathisers of terrorists, should ponder what they are doing," added Naidu.
At least 25 educational institutes have been gutted in mysterious fires in Kashmir during the ongoing unrest.
