Germany's Hesse province Economics Minister Tarek Al-Wazir will be visiting India next month with a business delegation of more than 30 German companies, India's consulate general here said on Tuesday.
"Hessian Minister of Economics Tarek Al-Wazir will be visiting the cities of Mumbai, Bengaluru and New Delhi along with a business delegation of more than 30 German companies at the beginning of November," said the consulate general as it announcing the holding of a business seminar on the Smart Cities initiative in India here on Monday jointly with the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Over 80 participants "from leading manufacturing companies in the region, consultants and officials from the local chamber of commerce and economic ministry" attended the smart cities event, the statement added.
The event followed the successful third inter governmental consultation meeting between India and Germany in early October during the India visit of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the statement added.
