The Cricket Association of Bengal's (CAB) financial committee has disclosed that the state cricket association has a surplus of around Rs 3.5 crore this year.
The amount was revealed after the financial committee met here on Thursday night.
"We have had surplus of Rs.3.5 crore this year," CAB Treasurer Biswaroop Dey said after the meeting.
The cricket governing body also has got a profit of Rs.16 crore from the International Cricket Council (ICC) World T20, which was held here in March-April.
The iconic Eden Gardens had played host to the high-voltage India-Pakistan tie as well as the final which was played between the West Indies and England.
Last year, the CAB suffered a huge loss and the members received a lot of flak for it.

The CAB also announced that former Bengal skipper Gopal Bose will be feted with the 'Lifetime Achievement' award at the annual awards function to be held later this year.
