A week-long strike of cabin crew would cost France's flagship carrier Air France 90 million euros ($100.74 million), the airline said on Tuesday.
"It's a very large sum equivalent of the value of a long-haul aircraft," Xinhua news agency quoted airline's Chief Executive Frederic Gagey as saying.
According to Gagey, the strike has affected around 180,000 persons.
SNPNC-FO and Unsa-PNC, the two airline unions called for a strike from July 27 to August 2.
On Tuesday, 90 per cent of the flights were running, including all long-haul flights and 85 per cent of its short and medium-haul flights from the Charles de Gaulle airport of Paris.
