The Union Cabinet on Wednesday was apprised of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Palestine on cooperation in the field of information technology and electronics (IT&E).
The agreement intends to promote closer cooperation in the areas of e-Governance, m-Governance, e-Public Services Delivery, cyber security, software technology parks and start-ups ecosystem, an official statement said here.
"The MoU shall come into effect from date of signature of the parties and shall remain in force for a period of five years," it said.
"The MoU shall be implemented by establishing a working group on IT&E composed of representatives of the two parties. Bilateral cooperation in information and communication technology domain both business-to-business (B2B) and group-to-group will be enhanced. It envisages improving B2B collaboration leading to employment opportunities," it added.
