Cricketer turned Indian Super League franchise Atletico de Kolkata (ATK) co-owner Sourav Ganguly is excited at the chance of meeting Brazilian legend Pele, but did not want to compare him with Diego Maradona who is Ganguly's favourite footballer.
"I have seen Maradona play but not Pele and you just cannot compare two legends from different eras. They both played in different circumstances and conditions, but I am looking forward to meeting him (Pele)," Ganguly said at journalist Subhro Mukherjee's book launch, 'Biswacuper Golpo-Juddho'.
Ganguly also said that he has not yet prepared the questionnaire that he will be armed with when he hosts a chat show with the legend at the Netaji Indoor Stadium here on October 12.
"I have not prepared any questions yet, probably if I was still playing would have asked him about fitness," Ganguly said.
Ganguly was only five years old when Pele visited Kolkata the first time in 1977 to turn out for New York Cosmos club against Mohun Bagan at the historic Eden Gardens.
Ganguly also confirmed that he was still very much a part of ATK and that he would be here for the home matches.
