The AAP Tuesday demanded the cancellation of coal block allocations made between 1993 and 2010 which the Supreme Court described as illegal.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also called for "strictest possible action" against the corporate houses which were allotted the blocks during this period.
"AAP demands that a few coal blocks in which mining has started should be immediately transferred to the government-owned Coal India Limited from the private player," a statement from the party said.
Earlier Monday, the apex court held as "illegal" the allocation of 218 coal blocks between 1993 and 2010.
"The party strongly disagrees with the fallacious argument that the Supreme Court decision on coal blocks would have an adverse impact on the economic growth process," it added.
