A retired army officer who has filed a defamation case against former army chief Gen. V.K. Singh Monday moved a court seeking cancellation of bail to him.

Lt.Gen. (retd) Tejinder Singh told Metropolitan Magistrate Jay Thareja that despite warnings, the former army chief is repeatedly making defamatory accusations and remarks against him in his recently-published book.

The court, on Oct 3, while disposing of Tejinder Singh's plea seeking cancellation of bail granted to V.K. Singh, had warned the latter against making defamatory remarks. It had said that it would lead to cancellation of his bail granted earlier.

Tejinder Singh told court that V.K. Singh has violated the order.

"Despite the aforesaid order dated Oct 3, 2013 passed by this court, the accused (V.K. Singh) repeated defamatory accusations and remarks against the complainant (Tejinder) on page numbers 308, 309, 310 and 330, 331 and 332 of his autobiography titled as 'Courage and Conviction: General V.K. Singh', a book written by the accused ... and released on second week of November 2013," said the plea filed through advocate Anil Aggarwal.

He has requested court to cancel his bail.

The court has posted the matter for further hearing on Nov 28.
