Depressed over her prolonged cancer, a 28-year-old woman committed suicide in the premises of a hospital here, said police Monday.
The body of Sonia, a resident of Himachal Pradesh, was found hanging from a tree in Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTB) around 9 a.m. Monday.
According to a police officer, the woman was identified from papers of some different hospitals she had in her possesion. They also revealed that she was suffering from cancer.
GTB hospital authorities informed that Sonia was not being treated there.
"Prima facie it seems to be a case of suicide. How Sonia hanged herself is a part of an investigation," said the police officer.
