A disciplined Cape Verde team eliminated Tunisia from the 2014 football World Cup in Brazil after beating the North Africans 2-0 here.
Cape Verde opened the score at the 28th minute through Platini and doubled it the lead in the 42nd minute thanks to Hilton Saturday, reports Xinhua.
The Tunisians needed a draw to make the final playoff round, but were unable to pose any serious problems to Cape Verde's solid defence.
The victory obtained in the third qualifying round takes Cape Verde to the 10-team African zone home-and-away playoffs.
