At least three people were killed and one other injured when their car rammed into a running train and blew up in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi district on Sunday, police said.
The car rammed into the Swatantrata Sainani Express, which was on its way from Delhi to Darbhanga in Bihar, around 10 a.m.
Sant Ravidas Nagar (Bhadohi district) Superintendent of Police Anil Rai said the accident took place at an unmanned railway crossing on the Radhaswamidham Marg, in between the Gyanpur Road station and the Sarai Jagdish station.
Two people in the car - Jai Kishan Tiwari (30) and Rajkumar alias Gappu (22) - died on the spot, while Santosh Tiwari (28) died during medical treatment. The injured person - Atul Tiwari (28) - was taken to a hospital in Varanasi.
All four were residents of Tiwaripur Bhawanipur village in Gopiganj. They worked in Delhi and were on their way home to attend a wedding.
The bodies were handed over to their families after post-mortem examination. The train later left for Darbhanga at 12.20 p.m.
