Abrasives and ceramics maker Carborundum Universal Ltd on Wednesday reported 19 per cent growth in its net profit for the second quarter of current fiscal.
In a statement issued here, the city-based company said on a consolidated basis, its profit after tax and non-controlling interest grew by 19 per cent to Rs 55 crore, while consolidated net sales (excluding excise duty) for the quarter, increased by 13 percent to Rs 579 crore from Rs 513 crore.
The company, at a consolidated level, spent Rs 52 crore on capital expenditure for the first half year.
