Italian Serie A bottom club Catania sacked coach Rolando Maran for the second time this season following a 1-2 defeat to Torino.
The Sardinians took a second-minute lead earlier through Gonzalo Bergessio, only for Alexander Farnerud and Ciro Immobile to score late on for the visitors Sunday, reports Xinhua.
Catania remain bottom of the Italian top flight with four wins and 20 defeats from 32 games, and are seven points behind fourth-from-bottom Bologna who sit just above the drop zone.
A club statement Sunday said youth team coach Maurizio Pellegrino would take over.
"Catania wishes to announce we have ended our collaboration with Rolando Maran, who we would like to thank for the work he has done over the season," said the statement.
Catania replaced Maran with Gigi De Canio in October, only to recall him to the helm Jan 15.
