A CBI special court Wednesday adjourned, to June 25 hearing on the agency's petition for judicial custody of former Andhra Pradesh ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy and Dharmana Prasada Rao in the case of alleged disproportionate assets of YSR Congress party chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy.

The two former ministers wanted the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to submit to the court the unedited CD of their interaction with the media. Their lawyers conveyed to the court that they would file the counter to the CBI plea after going through the unedited CD.

The investigating agency last week submitted to the court a CD containing clippings of their remarks, which, it argued, could influence the investigations. It also gave in writing to the court the statements made by the two former ministers.

The lawyers for both Sabitha and Dharmana argued that the CD submitted to the court is an edited one.

The CBI, while citing the statements, told the court that they could influence witnesses if not taken into judicial custody.

Sabitha resigned as the state's home minister and Dharmana as roads and buildings minister last month after the CBI named them as accused in the case.

Meanwhile, the court posted to June 24 orders on the CBI petition for shifting Jaganmohan Reddy's financial advisor Vijay Sai Reddy from Chanchalguda Central Jail to some other prison.

Jagan, as the Kadapa MP is popularly known, is lodged in Chanchalguda jail here for last one year. Vijay Sai Reddy, who surrendered earlier this month after his bail was cancelled by the Supreme Court, is also kept in the same jail.

The CBI argued that their presence in the same jail could influence the witnesses and sought court's direction to shift Vijay Sai to another prison.

The court also adjourned hearing on Vijay Sai's petition to it not to take cognizance of the supplementary charge sheet relating to the second charge sheet filed by the CBI.

The CBI has so far filed five charge sheets in the case, relating to alleged quid pro quo investment deals signed during Rajasekhara Reddy's regime. It believes the government granted favours to companies which made investments into Jagan's business.
