The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) examinations for standards 10 and 12 commence from Monday.
According to a CBSE circular, a total of 13,73,853 students are appearing for the class 10 board examination and 10,40,368 students are appearing for the class 12 board examination (6,07,383 of whom are boys).
While 8,17,941 boys will be appearing for the class 10 exam, 5,55,912 girls will be sitting. While 8,17,941 boys will be appearing for the exam, 5,55,912 girls will be sitting for the exam.
"There has been a hike of 3.37 percent in the number of students appearing in the class 10 board examination and in the class 12th board examination there has been a hike of 1.01 percent of students appearing for the examination," the circular said.
Value Based Questions in all major subjects for classes 10 and 12 up to 3-5 marks will be included this year. The questions will be based on content and analysed on the basis of values they reflect.
