Celebrity make-up artist Jake Bailey, who was known for his work with singers Katy Perry and Selena Gomez, has died at the age of 37 here.
The L.A. County Coroner's office confirmed to eonline.com that Bailey was found in his car on Friday by his assistant and authorities believe he died from carbon monoxide poisoning. It appears Bailey left a note, but the coroner's office couldn't confirm to whom or how many notes were left. An autopsy is currently pending.
"It is with deep sadness that we share the news of Jake Bailey's passing," his agency, Starworks Artists, said in a statement. "He was an undeniable talent, a great friend, a loving son and brother, and our grief is shared with all those whose lives he's touched.
The statement continued: "As one of the industry's most sought after make-up artists, Jake worked with an incredible client roster and his work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue Italia, Vanity Fair, and Allure.
"He collaborated with some of the top photographers in the fashion and entertainment industries and was also a passionate photographer himself. Jake was a mentor to many, and his work will continue to inspire. He will be truly missed by those who knew him."
Bailey last posted on Instagram on Thursday, sharing a photo of himself without a caption.
