The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs Wednesday decided to reduce the minimum export price for onion to $350 per tonne, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad said.
"We had increased the minimum export price for onion to $500 per tonne to make export less competitive. But now that there is availability of onion, we have decided to reduce the minimum export price to $350 per tonne," Prasad told the media here.
