Singer Mujtaba Aziz Naza says "Chadhta sooraj" sung by him for the film "Indu Sarkar" is close to his heart as the original was sung by his father Aziz Naza.
"Chadhta sooraj" is a remake of the famous Qawaali by the same name.
"This song is very close to my heart as the original one has been sung by my father. I have seen people being extremely moved when I have performed this song in the past, I'm hoping it will be well received in the movie as well," Mujtaba said in a statement.
"It was a great experience working with Anu Malik (composer) and Madhur Bhandarkar (director). We had to ensure that while remaking the song for the new generation, we retained the essence and the spirit of the original qawwali," he added.
"Indu Sarkar", scheduled to release on July 28, features actors Kirti Kulhari, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles.

Working with Big B was truly rewarding: Aahana Kumra
Actress Aahana Kumra, who made her television debut playing Amitabh Bachchan's daughter in "Yudh", says working with the megastar was truly rewarding.
"For a young actor like me, working with Mr. Bachchan was truly the most rewarding experience of my life. He has been very supportive of my work and always appreciates every little detail," Aahana, who essays the role of a rebellious young beautician in the film "Lipstick Under My Burkha", said in a statement.
She added: "In fact, I was so overwhelmed to see that he tweeted about the film and that just made my day. He's called the film different and bold. Exactly what we stand for, and I hope it gets the same reception in our motherland."
"Lipstick Under My Burkha" will release on July 21.
