Chefs fired up for a competition

Chefs from all over the country are all set to participate in an upcoming competition that will laud Indian culinary excellence and revere culinary talent through 13th Annual Chef Awards.

To be orgainsed by Indian Culinary Forum (ICF) in association with Indian Federation of Culinary Associations and World Association of Chef Societies, the competition will be held from October 22 to October 28 at Academy of Pastry Arts in Gurgaon and Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management in the capital.

"The objective is to offer fellow chefs a professional platform to showcase, exhibit, hone culinary skills and raise the overall Indian Culinary Art at par with international standards," ICF President Davinder Kumar said in a statement on Tuesday.

 

"Every year, we aim to patronize authentic food culture and motivate chefs to be innovative and creative. We can assure that it will be a valuable experience for all the chefs that will surely maximize their potential and growth in the sector," he added.

Apart from the competition, the event will be categorized in two more segments, which are -- Chef Summit and the grand finale Chef Award to be held on November 5 at The Ashok Hotel.

Chef Summit is an educational workshop for young grooming chefs to understand the industry from experts.
