The Boeing Co. delivered a record 143 planes to China in 2013, according to new data released Wednesday.
The figure represent a year-on-year growth of 60 percent, Xinhua quoted Boeing saying in a statement. The company secured 230 orders from the Chinese market in 2013. It will see plane delivery exceed 140 again this year.
Marc Allen, Boeing China president, forecast that China will need 5,580 new planes in the next 20 years, with a total value of $780 billion.
The company had delivered its 1,000th plane to China in April 2013.
