The Chinese men's and women's table tennis teams won gold medals after beating South Korea and Japan 3-1 and 3-0 respectively at the 6th East Asian Games (EAG) here Wednesday.

Fan Zhendong, men's singles silver medallist at the 12th National Games in September, played the key role again after semifinals on Tuesday with two wins for the team, Xinhua reported.
