Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has said that his country will deepen its mutually beneficial cooperation with Cuba in various fields and refresh bilateral ties.
China also would continue to adhere to the policy of long-term friendship with Cuba, maintain high-level exchanges and strengthen exchanges on governance experience with Cuba, Xinhua quoted Wang as saying Sunday after he met former Cuban leader Fidel Castro.
Castro, the founder of both Cuba's socialist revolution and Cuba-China ties, was widely respected by the Chinese people and all people around the world who love peace, said Wang who is in Cuba on the first stop of a four-nation Latin America tour.
Castro said China's enormous achievements in economic development had made important contributions to the peace and development of humanity.
