Chinese and Russian special forces concluded a 10-day joint training exercise here

Thursday.

During the "Cooperation 2013" exercise, special forces from both countries had training in shooting, forced entry, hostage rescue and terrorist camp raids, Xinhua reported.

According to Chinese People's Armed Police Force (PAPF), 46 personnel from a special force of the PAPF and 29 from a special task force unit of Russia's domestic security force participated in the exercise.

It said Chinese and Russian officers learnt lessons from each other and improved their skills and tactics to maintain stability and fight terrorism.

The two sides previously conducted a joint anti-terrorism drill, "Cooperation 2007," in Russia in September that year.

The latest drill marked the PAPF's first invitation of a foreign counterpart to conduct a joint exercise in China.
