Chinese stocks registered a dip on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 3.83 percent to open at 3,373.48 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index opened 4.22 percent lower at 11,399.66 points, Xinhua news agency reported.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, opened 5.1 percent lower at 2,222.54 points.
