Chinese women curlers said they are ready for the Olympics after their first practice session at the Ice Cube here Saturday.

China's skipper Wang Bingyu said she was satisfied with the stadium and the atmosphere, reports Xinhua.

"I like the sound of sliding and rocks hitting here," she said.

The Chinese side, coached by Canadian Marcel Rocque, will open against Canada Monday with an ultimate goal to win a medal.

"Ten days is so long, so we will take them one by one," the skipper said.

The Chinese women curlers won the country's first team medal in Winter Olympic history when they took a bronze at the 2010 Vancouver Games.
