A CISF personnel on Wednesday returned a bag containing goods worth Rs.70,000 to a woman commuter who had forgotten it at the Malviya Nagar Metro station.

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) sub-inspector Mohar Singh noticed a bag lying unattended at the X-ray machine that screens baggage at the stations.

The bag contained 16 new sarees and suits and a bank passbook which had the phone number of the owner, Preeti Kumari, a resident of Saket in south Delhi.

"The officer informed the owner and after proper verification, the bag was returned to her brother who had come to collect it at the station," a statement said.
