Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola said his key winger Leroy Sane could be out for at least a month after suffering an ankle injury against Cardiff City in a FA Cup tie.
The Manchester football club, however went on to win the fourth round tie 2-0 on Sunday.
"He (Leroy Sane) will be out for a while, minimum two to three weeks or a month. We will see on Monday exactly," Guardiola was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
Later, Cardiff City left-back Joe Bennett apologised for the rash tackle on German international Sane, who left the field with his left ankle injured.
"I just want to apologise to Leroy Sane for my tackle. I tried to stop the counter attack and completely mistimed my attempt," Benett tweeted.
"I didn't mean to catch him like I did. I hope it's nothing serious and he recovers quickly."
