At least three police officers and some civilians were injured in an ongoing shooting in the US state of Colorado on Friday, the media reported.

Officers from the Colorado Springs Police and the Colorado State Patrol are at the scene, with their guns pointed in the direction of the Planned Parenthood clinic, Colorado Springs, Xinhua news agency reported.

"We have confirmed that we have three officers that are injured. There are unknown number of civilians who have been injured," Police Lt. Catherine Buckley was quoted by the Denver Post as saying.

"The situation is still unstable, and the shooter is not contained."

More than a dozen police vehicles and ambulances are at the scene.
