Actor George Clooney and his wife Amal Alamuddin have just had a wedding of their dreams, but now face a 50,000 pounds bill to protect their luxury British home from Thames river.
The actor had bought Aberlash Manor in Sonning, Berkshire, unaware he would have to spend about 50,000 pounds on flood defences because it's so close to Thames, reports mirror.co.uk.
The 53-year-old gave the five million pounds luxury house to his bride as a wedding gift and in return she bought him two Cocker Spaniels.
According to The Sun, a source said "George and Amal were caught seemingly unaware" of the danger and flood experts have had to be called in.
They planned a pumping system and put out emergency sandbags after it was deemed a "serious risk" with the water rising over a metre above sea level.
The couple will spend their time between the expensive house and the Hollywood star's property in Lake Como, Italy.
