Delhiites experienced a sunny Saturday with the maximum temperature settling down at 38.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average. The Met office has forecast a cloudy Sunday with light rain.
"Sunday will be partly cloudy. Light rain and thundershowers may occur in some parts of the city," said an India Meteorological Department official.
He further forecast that the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 38 degrees and 29 degrees Celsius respectively.
Saturday's minimum temperature was recorded at 28 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
Friday's maximum temperature was at 36.8 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season while the minimum temperature settled at 26 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.
The city has received 0.8 mm of rainfall since Friday.
