A 3.5 feet long cobra was spotted in the Delhi Secretariat on Wednesday and rescued by Wildlife SOS, an official said.
The reptile was found in the Duty Officer's room near the main entrance. It was eventually released in the wild, said Delhi Police Head Constable Jitendra Singh.
The Indian cobra is one of the four venomous snake species to be found in the subcontinent and covered under the Indian Wildlife Protection Act.
