Cold wave conditions continued to prevail in desert state of Rajasthan as both minimum and maximum temperatures dropped.
The maximum temperature in Jaipur on Monday was recorded at 19 degrees Celsius, six degrees below average. The minimum temperature here was recorded at 7.9 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperatures in majority of cities and towns in Rajasthan are hovering below 4-6 degree celsius then the average temperature usually recorded during these days of year.
Jodhpur recorded maximum temperature of 21.7, Jaisalmer 23.8, Bikaner 20.5 and Churu 20.9 degrees Celsius.
Jawai Bandh in Pali district was the coldest in the state with a minimum temperature of 2 degrees Celsius.
"Both the temperatures, maximum and minimum, are likely to fall down in the next 24-48 hours due to northerly winds," a meteorological department official told IANS.
