Delhi experienced a moderate Wednesday with the maximum temperature at 20.7 degrees Celsius -- average for this time of the year. The Met Office has forecast partly cloudy weather Thursday.

The maximum temperature Thursday will hover around 20 degrees Celsius, while the minimum is expected to be around six degrees Celsius.

There will be fog in the morning and clouds are expected in the later part of the day, said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Light rain is expected in some parts of the city, said an IMD official.

The minimum temperature Wednesday was recorded at 4.4 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average.

"Two trains were cancelled, 20 were rescheduled, and 40 trains were late due to the fog in some of the states," said A.S. Negi, spokesperson of Northern Railway.

"Flights arrivals and departures were not affected at all due to the Delhi weather as the visibility was better today (Wednesday) in comparison to what it was in the last 4-5 days," said Kapil Sabarwal, spokesperson at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Tuesday's maximum temperature was recorded three notches below the season's average at 17.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 6.1 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.
