Colombian footballer Fredy Guarin has agreed to join Chinese Super League side Shanghai Greenland FC from Italian giants Inter Milan.
"Greenland announces the signing of Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin from Inter Milan," the Chinese team announced on Wednesday, reports Xinhua.
The news was confirmed after rumours in Italy circled about the midfielder's departure from Inter Milan.
The player posted pictures of his contract signing with a Greenland representative on Wednesday.
Even though the team has not confirmed the amount it paid for Guarin, Italian media have reported the transfer was worth 12 million euros (about $13 million).
Fredy Alejando Guarin Vasquez, 29, was born in Puerto Boyaca, located in the eastern department of Boyava, and has 58 caps and four goals for the national team.
Shanghai Greenland and its coach, Spain's Gregorio Manzano, formally welcomed Guarin to China on Wednesday.
