The Congress party on Tuesday demanded the resignation of Delhi's Food and Supplies Minister Imran Hussain, alleging that his staffer had been caught on camera demanding bribe on his behalf.

The party also demanded a CBI probe into the matter.

Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken told reporters here that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should seek Hussain's resignation.

"Our demand to the chief minister is simple. Hussain must resign and there should be a CBI probe into this," Maken said.

The Congress showed a video clipping in support of its accusation and attacked the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government on the issue of corruption.

"We have video evidence of Imran Hussain's staffer, brother and JE (junior engineer) demanding a bribe," Maken said.

He alleged that Hussain's staffer demanded Rs.25 lakh from a person who was building his own house. He also alleged that the person then received phone calls from Hussain's brother.

The person building the house was then approached by a junior engineer asking for a bribe on behalf of the AAP leader, Maken alleged.
