Congress on Monday night announced Krishna Byre Gowda as its candidate for Bangalore North parliamentary seat in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
The seat was surrendered by the JD-S to Congress apparently because it did not have a suitable candidate. The two parties had arrived at 20-8 seat sharing arrangement but the JD-S is now contesting seven seats.
The Congress also replaced its candidate on Amroha seat in Uttar Pradesh. The party has fielded Sachin Choudhary in place of former MP Rashid Alvi.
