A Congress release said that the party had complained to complained to the Chief Election Commissioner H.S. Brahma and Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi, about press conference held by Jaitley Friday "to campaign for Kiran Bedi, BJP candidate from Krishna Nagar and also chief ministerial nominee".

The party sought immediate action against the Bharatiya Janata Party.
