Slamming the Congress for disrupting parliament to cover up its corruption, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday said it has nothing to do with the National Herald case.
"Why is Congress talking about the complainant, and not about the corruption? Everything is before the court, neither Delhi Police, nor CBI, nor the government is involved...," union Minister for Communications and Information Ravi Shankar Prasad said.
"The plea of vendetta is being used for political coverage... Are they settling court scores in parliament? Congress is not saying what are the allegations," he said.
The minister said the case was filed in 2013, before the BJP came to power.
"Congress is only trying to cover up corruption charges. Let Congress party explain: Was 2G case a vendetta, or was Commonwealth Games case, Coal scam case a vendetta?" he asked.
"We want Congress to respond why they are not letting parliament function? The deep sense of discomfort they are feeling, it is grossly unfair to mock parliament," he said, adding the government is appealing to the Congress to allow the house to function.
