Congress leader and former Ghaziabad municipal councillor Hari Mohan Kaushik died Saturday, two days after being shot at five times, hospital sources said.
Five bullets were pumped into his chest and the upper part of the body in Ghaziabad Thursday night. He was undergoing treatment at the Fortis Hospital in Noida, abutting Delhi, where he died around 7 a.m. Saturday.
Kaushik was also a real estate developer. There were three murder cases registered against him.
He was out on bail in the murder case of his nephew Sachin Kaushik who died about two years ago. He had also been in different political parties like the Congress to Rashtriya Lok Dal.
On Thursday, he was shot at around 7.30 p.m. while he was entering in his Shastri Nagar home.
