Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday met party leaders from minority communities of Jammu and Kashmir and northeast and sought their views on how to strengthen support from these communities in these states.
"This was a meeting of leaders of minority communities from Jammu and Kashmir and northeast. This is an extension of the last meeting with leaders of minority communities from across the country," said a Congress leader.
Another leader who attended the meeting said: "We all expressed our views and opinions on how to strengthen the party in these regions and also unite the minority communities in support of the party."
The meeting was attended by senior Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ambika Soni, C.P. Joshi and head of minority department Khurshid Ahmed Saiyed.
