Brazil's Corinthians kept their unblemished record intact with a 2-1 victory over Danubio in their Copa Libertadores group match.

Paolo Guerrero and Felipe Monteiro broke the early deadlock at the Luis Franzini stadium on Tuesday with each scoring in the space of 10 second-half minutes, reported Xinhua.

Gonzalo Barreto pulled a goal back for the Uruguayan side in second-half injury time.

The result lifts Corinthians to nine points from three matches, six points ahead of second-placed Sao Paulo, who have a game in hand.

Also on Tuesday, Argentina's Racing Club defeated Peru's Sporting Cristal 2-0 in Lima, courtesy of goals from Diego Milito and Ezequiel Videla.

Racing are now top of Group 8 with nine points from four matches while Sporting Cristal are second, four points further back.

The Copa Libertadores is Latin America's top club competition, featuring teams from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
