Couple burnt alive in brick kiln in Pakistan

A couple was burnt alive in a brick kiln in Pakistan Tuesday over alleged non-payment of advance money, media reported.

Sources said the incident took place in the town of Kot Radha Kishan, some 60 km southwest of Lahore, Geo News reported.

Police sources said Shahzad and his wife Shama Bibi came to the town for their livelihood where kiln owner Yousuf Gujjar put them in a room and made various allegation against them about non-payment of money advanced to them and gathered villagers.

Later, the infuriated villagers pushed them into the brick kiln and burnt them alive.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took cognizance of the incident and constituted three-member committee to unearth the facts and punish the culprits.
