A court here on Friday dismissed the defamation case filed by a policeman against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for using a derogatory term against the men in khaki.

Metropolitan Magistrate Arun Kumar Garg dismissed the plea of complainant Harvinder, a constable then posted at Govindpuri police station in south Delhi, seeking a criminal defamation case against Kejriwal for using of word 'thulla' alleging that it had harmed his reputation in the eyes of the general public, including his family, relatives and friends.

However, another court hearing a separate complaint by constable Ajay Kumar Taneja of Lajpat Nagar police station, had last Saturday, issued summons for July 14 to Kejriwal for allegedly using the word "thulla" to describe policemen.

The complainants said Kejriwal has allegedly used the word "thulla" in an interview to a news channel on July 7, 2015.
