CPI-M politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday launched a blistering attack on Hindu Ezhava leader Vellapali Natesan for taking the support of the RSS for his newly launched political party.

Vijayan asked Natesan to come out of the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam.

"Now it's quite clear that it was the RSS which was behind Natesan's new political party and hence it's time that Natesan drops the flag of the SNDP that he carries now and the flag of the Sangh Parivar is what he should now hold," Vijayan told reporters.

The SNDP Yogam is the social movement of the powerful Hindu Ezhava community in Kerala whose values were enunciated by Sree Narayana Guru.

Ever since Natesan formed the Bharath Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) in December, he has come under fire especially from the CPI-M.

"Natesan is now working on the agenda drawn up by the RSS and hence he has to give up the SDP Yogam at the earliest," Vijayan said.

Vijayan's attack comes a day after state BJP president Kummanam Rajasekheran, his predecessor V. Muraleedharan and BDJS president and Natesan's son Tushar Vellapalli held talks with BJP president Amit Shah and worked out a plan for the assembly poll in Kerala, which is likely to be held in April-May.
