Outgoing CRPF chief Dilip Trivadi Friday praised his troopers for their service during the 2014 general elections and the Jharkhand assembly polls in the Maoist affected areas.

"Conducting peaceful elections in Maoist affected states was very difficult, but the force (CRPF) did it with flying colours, resulting in substantial increase in voting percentage," said Trivadi after attending his farewell parade here.

Trivedi, a 1978 batch Indian Police Service officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, is retiring Nov 30 after 36 years of service.

He said the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans have demonstrated extreme patience in the face of grave provocation in the Kashmir Valley.

The parade was followed by a spectacular show by CRPF's "Women Warriors" and inauguration of "CRPF Museum" at CRPF Group Centre at Kadarpur.
